Weight Management Program

MRPT Weight Loss Program provides a multidisciplinary approach in weight management through medically supervised exercise, nutritional counseling and education. Through the use of the most sophisticated technology available to determine your body composition, cardiopulmonary fitness, and resting metabolic rate, MRPT staff will produce a metabolic profile that will be the basis for the construction of your individualized program. Our goal is to provide the guidance and support to enable you to achieve a healthy, balanced, eating and physical activity plan; learn to manage stress and emotions; and improve your quality of life.

Who can participate?

  • Individuals with a Body Mass Index (BMI) equal or greater than 25 with a co-morbid condition (Hypertension, Diabetes, Coronary Artery Disease, Sleep Apnea, Metabolic Syndrome, etc.)

  • Individuals with Body Mass Index (BMI) equal or greater than 30

  • Men with waist measurement equal or greater than 40 inches

  • Women with waist measurement greater than or equal to 35 inches

What are the components of the program?

  • Full Metabolic Profile

  • Resting Metabolic Test

  • Cardiopulmonary Test

  • Body Composition Analysis

  • Complete Energy Expenditure Profile

  • Structured Caloric Intake Program

  • Individual Training Sessions (3 sessions per week/ 12 weeks)

  • Nutritional Counseling/Education
