
Melissa Stavrakis, PT, DPT, OCS
Melissa Billy – Stavrakis received her undergraduate B.S. degree in Sports Medicine from Alderson Broaddus College in 1998. While at A-B, Melissa was a part of the Lady Battler volleyball and soft ball teams. She continued her education at West Virginia University where she received a B.A. degree in Applied Exercise Science & Human Performance in 2002, obtained her Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2003 and began working for Mountain River Physical Therapy in July 2003. In 2009 Melissa completed a post graduate Orthopaedic Physical Therapy residency through Evidence In Motion and became a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) in 2010. She received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in July 2011 also through Evidence In Motion Institute of Health Professions. She was appointed as a Clinical Assistant Professor by West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2009.
